Scholarship Information:
  • Most scholarships are for graduating seniors
  • The amount of time invested is often proportional to the amount of returns
    • Look at scholarships like a part-time job with a paycheck at the end
    • Use your time wisely - Applying locally will often produce better results!
  • Beware of scams!  If it looks too good to be true, it probably is!
    • Never pay for finding scholarships
    • Never give out social security numbers, or other confidential information, unless you know it is a reputable organization.
      • When in doubt, check in the Career Center
  • If you are using a scholarship search engine, open a separate email address specifically for scholarships - they tend to fill your mailbox with spam.
