Central Sierra Regional Occupational Program – Computer Drafting
This class was established in 1992.
Our goal is to help students learn the skills that will insure their success whether
they choose to enter the work force, attend Community College or enroll in a University
Engineering or Architecture program.
In class students work directly with home owners, builders, and contractors helping to
transform their ideas into drawings that are ready for city or county plan checking.
THE FUTURE
The future of this program is based on what happens to our graduates. Many that have
completed this program choose to further their skills and education at the Community
College at Universities such as USC, Cal Poly SLO and Pomona, ASU and FSU. A number of
students are now Architects, Planners, Engineers, Designers and Drafters. Real world applications
in an educational setting equal students that know where they’re going with the skills and knowledge
of how to get there.
