Hybrid Schedule Expectations

Hybrid Bell Schedule:
  • All students will work from home on Monday.
  • For the remainder of the week, students have been split into either Cohort A (T/TH) or Cohort B (W/F).
  • Cohort “A” will attend class in-person at Union Mine on Tuesday & Thursday.
  • Cohort “B” will attend class in-person at Union Mine on Wednesday & Friday.
  • On days that students’ are working from home, teachers will be livestreaming (simulcast) instruction.
Students Expectations:
  • Virtually attend all classes on days at home
  • Be on time, engaged and actively participate (See Hybrid Schedule below)
  • All Students should have their cameras on
  • Teachers will livestream (simulcast) for the students at home to join their class via Google Meet or Zoom.
    • There are a few classes that will not be able to livestream, due to safety reason.  (For example, PE and Ag Mechanics).
    • For classes that are unable to livestream, teachers will deliver content via Google Classroom to provide students with independent work.

Cohort Grouping:
  • Every student at Union Mine has been assigned to either Cohort A (T/TH) or Cohort B (W/F).
  • Cohort A:
    • Monday, Wednesday & Friday: Work from Home
    • Tuesday and Thursday: On campus attending classes
  • Cohort B:
    • Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: Work from Home
    • Wednesday and Friday: On campus attending classes
  • Students should not come to school on their off days.  
  • Students that are unscheduled should not be on campus unless their unscheduled block falls during the school day (Block 2 or Block 3). 
  • If a student has Block 1 unscheduled, they should not arrive to campus until 9:50 am.
  • If a student has Block 4 unscheduled, they need to leave campus no later 1:00 pm.


In order to avoid students using shared equipment and technology, students will be asked to bring their Chromebook or their own personal device to school each day.  Google Classroom will continue to be the content and communication delivery platform during Hybrid.  


  • Students will be required to wear masks at all times while on campus.
  • Students requesting a medical exemption will need a note from their physician.  Those students with an exemption will be required to wear a face shield with a drape.  All medical exemption requests must be submitted to our school nurse, Diana Campbell, in order to explore alternatives and/or to have that exemption granted.  If you have specific questions regarding the guidelines for face coverings, please reference the hyperlink below or email Mrs. Campbell at dcampbell@eduhsd.k12.ca.us.
