The College Board - a wonderful site that includes career information, how to prepare while in high school, and job outlooks

Occupational Information Network - here you can search for information by specific job, skill, interests, knowledge, and more.

Career Voyages - This site gives information on all areas including construction, health care, biotechnology, automotive, retail, technology, manufacturing and more.

Occupational Profile: This is great! "Create a customized occupation profile. Available data include wages, employment trends, knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs), education and training, and web resources. National, state, and local information is available, as well as trend and wage comparisons across occupations and geographical areas."

Occupational Outlook Handbook: 2006-2007 "...describes what workers do on the job, working conditions, the training and education needed, earnings, and expected job prospects in a wide range of occupations."

Career Zone California - This site will let you explore the cost of living on your own in many of the major urban areas in California. It will let you explore jobs/careers in the area to see how they pay and the job outlook.
