Google searches are NOT case sensitive. *Searches for george washington and GeOrge wAshington will all return the same results. |
Google returns pages that include all of your search terms. You don't need to include "and" between terms. The order in which the terms are typed will affect the search results. *For a vacation to Hawaii enter: vacation hawaii |
Get Google to ‘fill in the blank’ by adding an asterisk (*) at the part of the sentence or question that you want * For example: Thomas Edison discovered* |

If a word is essential to getting results, put a "+" sign in front of it. |
If eliminating a term might help you get the results you want, put a "-" sign in front of it. Include a space before the "-" sign. *If you want cell phones but not by Motorola enter cell phones -Motorola |
If two similar words will work, use the term "OR" between them. You are asking for either term. *For example: cars OR trucks |
If you want to search for a term and wants its synonyms included type a "~" before the word (leave no space) *For example: ~cars |
