PSAT:
- The PSAT is the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test. It is a practice test for the SAT and is open for Sophomores and Juniors to take
- For 11th grade students, the PSAT is also the qualifier for the National Merit Scholarship. The National Merit Scholarship is a national program that honors the top PSAT scores in the nation.
- The test will be held in October during school hours from 8:30 to about 11:30 in the small gym.
College Entrance Exams:
- Colleges will accept either the SAT or the ACT

- Test-optional schools will look at test scores but they are not required for college admission
- Test-blind schools will not look at test scores for college admission

- Students should take the test that best suits them, in an effort to obtain the best score possible.
- A "good" score depends on the selectivity of the University one is applying.
