PSAT / SAT / ACT

October 18th PSAT/NMSQT Registration HERE!

Registration will be for JUNIORS ONLY starting September 10th
SOPHOMORES can register beginning September 17th
 
Registration will close for both grades on September 25th, and payment due by October 2nd
There is no test option for Freshmen and Seniors
 
PSAT:
  • The PSAT is the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test.  It is a practice test for the SAT and is open for Sophomores and Juniors to take
  • For 11th grade students, the PSAT is also the qualifier for the National Merit Scholarship. The National Merit Scholarship is a national program that honors the top PSAT scores in the nation.
  • The test will be held in October during school hours from 8:30 to about 11:30 in the small gym. 
 
College Entrance Exams:

  • Colleges will accept either the SAT or the ACT
        • Test-optional schools will look at test scores but they are not required for college admission
        • Test-blind schools will not look at test scores for college admission
  • Students should take the test that best suits them, in an effort to obtain the best score possible.
  • A "good" score depends on the selectivity of the University one is applying.
