Scholarship Information:
- Most scholarships are for graduating seniors
- The amount of time invested is often proportional to the amount of returns
- Look at scholarships like a part-time job with a paycheck at the end
- Use your time wisely - Applying locally will often produce better results!
- Beware of scams! If it looks too good to be true, it probably is!
- Never pay for finding scholarships
- Never give out social security numbers, or other confidential information, unless you know it is a reputable organization.
- When in doubt, check in the Career Center
- If you are using a scholarship search engine, open a separate email address specifically for scholarships - they tend to fill your mailbox with spam.
